India
Our current mission in India is to help increase the educational opportunities for poorer portions of the population. Building schools reflects our mission as education is a social determinate of health. Currently, we have organized the creation of two elementary schools in the Chikkamagaluru district. Both the Chikkamagaluru Montessori and Sringeri Education Center help underscore our commitment to global health. Vietnam
Our current mission in Vietnam is to establish more medical centers for patients in poverty. Our medical centers are aimed at providing primary care with an emphasis on yearly checkups and vaccine administration for pediatric patients. Scholarship
In addition on sponsering global health projects, we also honor up and coming leaders in the world that mirror our mission statement. Below is a list of the honors and distinction that United Global Health grants to exceptional students and leaders.
Soteria Mark of Distinction: the highest award granted by UGH. The honor is granted to the most notable and prominent youth thought-leader of the given year who reflects UGH's commitment to the poor and needy.* (Application is invitational only with an international scope.)
Hubert-Sanding Award: granted to distinctive community leaders in disadvantaged areas.
UGH Advocate Award: granted to those who demonstrate giving a voice to those without a voice in society.
Each of the honors is granted on a yearly basis to a single recipient. *Award is contingent upon being a member of the organization.
